The cabina, located on a small knoll with a private view of the Pacific Ocean was built personally by us and is fully equipped for self sufficiency.
Many people want to follow their own agenda and inner clock. If getting up at 5 a.m. to have breakfast at 5:30 then on to your scheduled day of planned activities, box lunches and 6:00 p.m. dinner day after day is not your idea of a laid back relaxing vacation then perhaps your own fully equipped cabina with your own timetable would suit you better.
We can help you book your adventures whatever they may be. We can also help you stock your fridge and pantry if we have sufficient lead time. This should be arranged at least 2 weeks before arrival. Although we have our own small home within site of the cabin our aim is for your privacy and self independence. We are there to help if truly needed but not to be in your space.
The accommodations include one bedroom (double bed with single bed pullout underneath), three piece bathroom, running hot and cold water, propane stove and electric refrigerator. There is an oscillating fan above the headboard of the bed and a ceiling fan in the kitchen. The unit has tile floors throughout and local hardwood for walls and ceiling. There is a covered porch with a hammock and swing bench as well as a wicker table and chairs for your relaxation. Although not large in size this cabina provides everything for a couple with small children.
One can walk from the front door of the cabina and enjoy the view from the lawn or head on down the cement stairs to the beach below. A small freshwater lagoon flows into the ocean on one side of the hill offering an excellent play site with shallow water for younger children and those wishing to cool down or wash off the ocean salt after playing in the waves of the Pacific. This area is shaded by mango trees and coconut palms which keeps it cooler if one prefers to escape the sun for a while. On the north side of the beach is another fresh water river which provides, at times, very good fishing for red snapper, snook, as well as other types of fish coming in to feed during high tides.
We are in a very natural area with minimal development so one can generally walk the beaches alone or go on hikes to see what natural flora and fauna are around, dependent upon the time of year. It is not unusual to see a ray jumping in the surf or occasionally even a humpback whale breaching out in the bay.
It truly is a very special place to be whether for a short time or an extended stay.
